 Dear ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Students,

I respectfully urge you to attend this important discussion and forward the flyer below to your family, freinds, and peers.  On Wednesday, November 1, 2006, the ASU Law's Federalist Society hosted Winkfield Twyman, Jr., who gave a talk called "Why Blacks Should Say NO to Law School."  The basics of his argument is here: http://www.intellectualconservative.com/2006/07/21/the-biggest-mistake-of-her-life/

Mr.Twyman may have good intentions, however, his audience was likely misled.  In response, the John P. Morris BLSA  is hosting an evening panel discussion called "Why Blacks Should Say YES to Law School."  Our goals are to (1) broadly discuss the benefits to society and the individual from black lawyers, and (2) discuss the history black lawyers have played and the role we should continue to play a critical role in the advancement of colored people out of cyclical poverty/hopelessness.
